What this is
The application is a bedside reference tool built for one pediatric residency program. It exists to speed up routine calculations and lookups that residents perform many times per shift, so that time and attention can stay with the patient rather than a textbook or a phone book.
It provides clinical calculators, a hospital phone directory, rotation guides, and other program-specific resources.
Calculators included
The application currently includes the following bedside calculators:
- Maintenance fluids (Holliday-Segar / 4-2-1 method)
- Glucose infusion rate
- Corrected gestational age
- Mean arterial pressure
- Body surface area (Mosteller formula)
- Calcium correction for albumin
- Insulin correction factor
- PECARN pediatric head injury decision rule
- Weight conversion
Who it is for
This tool is built for residents in one pediatric residency program. It is not a public service, not a commercial product, and it is not intended for use by patients, families, or the general public.
Access
The resident-facing part of the application requires an access code. That is because it contains internal hospital phone extensions and program-specific material that is not meant for general distribution. This landing page itself requires no login and contains no such material.
Open the appNo patient information
This site contains no patient information of any kind. It is not an electronic health record, a clinical documentation system, or any kind of record system. It stores only reference material: formulas, contact listings, and program guides.
Medical disclaimer
This tool is a reference aid for clinicians and trainees. It does not replace clinical judgment, institutional protocol, or the guidance of a supervising physician. Calculator outputs must be verified against the patient's clinical context before any decision is made. This site is not medical advice for members of the public, and it should not be used by patients or families to make treatment decisions.
